Introduction to IPv6
Get started with the basics of IPv6 and best practices
Start learning
As IPv4 addresses are increasingly scarce and with the growth of IoT, more networks around the world are deploying IPv6.
It's essential to build a strong foundation to ensure the smooth deployment of IPv6 and to build the skills to run an IPv6 network.
Modules include:
IPv6 Address Basics: Address notation, calculating subnets, understanding IPv6 headers and address types.
IPv6 Transition Mechanisms: Understand the differences between the different transition mechanisms, when to use them and what suits your network.
Deploying IPv6: Understand how IPv6 hosts communicate and the main protocols like Neighbor Discovery, SLAAC, and DHCPv6.
IPv6 Assignment and Addressing Plan Best Practices: How to apply RIPE policies and create an addressing plan based on best practices and apply it to your network's needs.
IPv6 Security Considerations: Get an introduction to security consideration to take into account when planning your IPv6 deployment.
